My Spring 2013 Couture Picks

I'm going to mix things up a bit with my picks from each fashion season.  Instead of doing a post with my five (or more or less) picks per show, I decided to put all my picks from every show on a Pinterest board created specifically for that season.

Let's start with my Spring 2013 Couture board.

I think this makes more sense because you can see all my faves at one time whenever needed.  I'm a visual person and it's nice to be able to scroll through and see any trends (color, cut, pattern) that start to appear.  It also plays into my wanting to create a bit more original content for the blog (which is slow going).  I would also like to do more runway looks for less for each season too (anyone remember when I used to do the "my take" posts? Yeah, long time ago).  I want to get back to that sort of thing.  So I'll put together a little graphic like the one above to let you know when I'm finished with my picks and the season's board is "complete".  So head over and check it out!

Tory Burch Pre-Fall 2013 - My Five

Fun mix of texture and pattern in this collection.  Lots of long layers (note the below-the-knee skirts).  Here are my picks:

Chado Ralph Rucci Pre-Fall 2013 - My Five

It's pretty much established how much I adore Ralph Rucci's work, what appears to be simple is actually quite complex with immaculate construction.  The beauty of simplicity.  This collection had lots of black, some navy blue, white, grey and one pretty pink ensemble.  I'm seriously digging the over the knee black leather boots shown with many of the looks, so tough yet ladylike.  Here are my picks, enjoy!

Marc Jacobs Spring 2013 - My Five

If you don't like stripes or checks, then stay away from this collection.  A kind of precursor to his Louis Vuitton Spring collection - he rarely overlaps/connects these two collections (things are generally kept very separate) but this time they could be half-sisters!  I'm digging the mod vibe!  Here are my picks!

A collection full of earthy, yet vibrant hues, color blocking, prints and major texture and pattern mixing.  Really strong and fabulous outfit/color mixing inspiration!  Check out my picks:

Gucci Spring 2013 - My Five

What a happy, rainbow hued, ruffled collection from Frida Giannini.  I loved it!  I adore the tunic/trouser look that is long and lean, it's timeless.  Great prints, including color infused snake print and a large floral in stunning colorways.  Here are my many picks!

Jonathan Saunders Spring 2013 - My Five

A nice collection with lots of color and graphic touches.  I'm particularly smitten with the "rain drop" graphic and the iridescent silver treatments.  Here are my picks, enjoy!

My Five - Rachel Zoe Spring 2013

A very late 60's/70's inspired collection .  Pretty much what you would expect from Rach (can I call her Rach?  I'm sure she wouldn't mind.  I mean after watching her show, I feel like I know her.).  A nice mix full of wearable pieces (though a bit heavy on the accessories in some of the looks, too much going on).  Here are my picks, enjoy!

My Five - Vera Wang Spring 2013

Loved this collection, loved how the fabrics were embellished, luxurious (almost touching on a vintage upholstery vibe).  She started with all white ensembles, then it flowed seamlessly to blue, green, lime and finishing with white gold.  Plenty of prints, lace and embroidery.  Ah Vera, you make me very happy!  Here are my picks, enjoy!
