My Five - Elie Saab Resort 2012

Ooooh, who doesn't love looking at Elie Saab's gorgeous gowns?  Always glamorous perfection!  This collection was super colorful and featured a lot more day wear than you usually see.  My picks were all evening gowns though - I just can't resist them.  Enjoy!

Ahhh, the sparkly gowns of Elie Saab, he always delivers several red carpet worthy looks - so place your bets as to who might show up in one of his numbers from this collection come Oscar night.  Enjoy my picks!

Elie Saab Couture Fall 2010

Elie Saab always knocks it out of the park with plenty of "coming-to-a-red-carpet-soon" dresses.  For sure this collection totally covered that and more.  I'll let the images of my favorite looks speak for themselves - gorgeous!  It's just a darn shame I have no place to wear (or can afford *ahem*) any of these numbers.

Oscars 2010 - my picks for best dressed

I'm a little late to the game with this post, so I'm only going to pick a favorite look from the red carpet and then one from the after parties (along with their runway debuts).  Yes, there were many looks I liked (and disliked) but they are basically the same ones that have already been blogged about thousands of times and I'm sure you're sick of seeing the same things over and over.  I know I am.  Here we go, first with the red carpet:
Rachel McAdams in Elie Saab Haute Couture (left at the Vanity Fair party and right on the Oscar red carpet - notice how the light changes the colors, I like how much warmer it appears in the daylight)  What sold me on this dress was when she walked out on stage, it just looked so divine.

On the runway roughly 6 weeks ago (it was the opening look on Karlie Kloss no less)

Here is my after party pick:

Cameron Diaz  at the Vanity Fair party in Victoria Beckham

Here's the dress from NY Fashion Week just a few weeks ago.

Elie Saab - Couture Spring 2010

He designs extraordinary dresses that scream "red carpet", this collection is no exception. However the colors are so muted, with occasional blues and greys to break it up (along with some washed out prints), but the pinks, nudes and creams were too pale for my liking. You couldn't tell where the skin and dress met, which is weird to me. Not to say there weren't some stunners (clearly I posted a lot of pictures), but overall it didn't scream "Couture" and probably could have been edited down, which would have made the collection tighter. Anyhoo, off my soapbox and on to my picks:

Elie Saab Spring 2010

Ah, well, we've reached the end of my Fashion Week coverage for this season (are those tears of joy or sadness).  I've had a good time sharing my favorite looks and I hope you've enjoyed seeing them.

Last, but not least is Elie Saab and his beautiful dresses - look for at least one on a red carpet near you.  Here are my highlights:
