Look For Less - Victoria Beckham Tote

I'm a huge fan of Victoria Beckham and her designs, but us mere mortals can't really justify dropping $2000+ on a handbag.  So it's nice when you can find a similar look at a much lower price!  This tote from Boden is just chic for a whole lot less.

My Take - Victoria Beckham Laser Cut Clutch

I've been loving Victoria Beckham's handbag line, especially her chic little clutches.  But needless to say they are all a bit out of my price range.  I really like the laser cut clutches that Victoria has been carrying lately.  I can't seem to find one online at all (so I guess it's either last season or sold out).  I ran across these lovely pouches from Kate Spade Saturday, I think they are a pretty good substitute! I mean they are a heck of a lot cheaper ;o)

My Five - Victoria, Victoria Beckham Spring 2013

I started the week with Victoria Beckham and I'm going to end the week with some more Victoria Beckham.  Victoria is VB's lower priced (relatively speaking) dress line and the Spring collection was all about short and flirty.  I loved the purples, prints and just overall vibe.  I could have done without the shoes though (they seemed a little clunky/heavy with some of the dresses, no?).  Anyway, here are my picks and trend takeaways, enjoy!

Trend takeaways:
1. Purple
2. Orange accents
3.  One statement bangle

My Five - Victoria Beckham Spring 2013

Well, as usual I'm kicking off my NYFW coverage with my picks from Victoria Beckham's collection.  This collection was a little less bodycon than her previous collections and she is offering more separates (!) as well as flat shoes (!).  I know, right?  Not sure we'll see VB herself in these flats but stranger things have happened (Spice Girl to serious designer).  Here are my picks (with the trend "take aways" at the end):

The trend takeaways from this collection:
1. Orange isn't going away
2. Structured yet relaxed thigh grazing blazers
3. Flats!

Dear Victoria Beckham,

I'm a huge fan of your clothing and accessories!  I love how you have morphed from pop star, to queen of football WAGs, to style icon, to well respected designer all while raising four kiddos with your very handsome hubby.  Kudos to you!

But the real reason I'm writing you is to let you know that you are free to send me any of the below items from your line to "test" out.  Seriously, I'll give you my honest opinion about how much I love them!

I would run out and buy them myself but they are just a wee bit out of my price range *cough* (extremely expensive) *cough*.  I'll be waiting on the UPS guy!

xoxo

My Five - Victoria, Victoria Beckham Fall 2012

In keeping with the Victoria Beckham theme this week, here are my five picks from her (relatively speaking) lower priced dress line.  These are so much fun and boy I wish I could afford to buy one (or two).  Anyway, here are my picks from this collection, enjoy!

My Five - Victoria Beckham Fall 2012

Hi!  I'm back!  What a rainy weekend we had here in the Southeast and yesterday the rod and shelving in my closet decided to break in two and fall off the wall.  So now my hanging clothes are on the kitchen table piled high.  Boo!  We are trying to figure out the best way to fix it.  Man, I hate not having my closet the way I want it.  Nothing says classy like digging through a pile of clothes on your kitchen table in the mornings - ha!

Anyway, I'm going to jump into my New York Fashion Week coverage like I always do - with the lovely Victoria Beckham's collection.  Here are my picks:

She also introduced a new bag called (appropriately enough) "Harper", named for her baby girl.  I love it!  Hey Posh, if you are reading this, as I'm sure you are, feel free to send one my way ;o)

My Five - Victoria by Victoria Beckham Spring 2012

So Victoria Beckham has a new lower priced (relatively speaking $450-$1250 *cough*) dress line.  There are some really cute dresses in this collection which is also full of happy colors and forgiving cuts.

My Five - Victoria Beckham Spring 2012

One side note, I had originally planned kicking off a week long series about what trends I think are important for Fall today, but as usual time got away from me.  I tried to stay away from the computer/news all weekend but especially yesterday (the 9/11 anniversary is tough for me every year, but this year was so hard for a variety of reasons).  So I'm postponing it until next week - stay tuned.  Meanwhile, I'll be playing catch up this week with some backlogged posts.  I'll get my stuff together someday - ha!  I'm not going to jump in with full on Fashion Week coverage right now, I want to put that off a little until it's closer to Spring.

That being said, I am going to post one collection from Spring right now.  I always kick off my picks from NY fashion week with Victoria Beckham's collection, it's a tradition so to speak, so I figured I would pop in and post my five favorite looks from her Spring 2012 collection shown yesterday.  I wanted to post it because there are looks that apply right now (hello, black leather leggings/legwarmers/boots whatever those are), but also because I think she's nailed the navy/orange combo that I'm feeling will be wonderful for Spring in both fashion (and interiors).  Also really digging the ivory/white neutral mixes as well.  Here are my picks, enjoy!

Big day!

It's not only her big day:

But it's her big day too!
BIG congrats to Sarah Burton and the team at Alexander McQueen and their amazing work on Kate's gorgeous wedding gown!  I'm hoping this dress will start a trend of wedding dresses with sleeves - yay!

And I can't not show what Victoria Beckham wore to the wedding (Philip Treacy hat, Victoria Beckham dress - natch, Louboutin heels).  I'm kinda loving that she wore her hair in a ponytail.

Sorry, I've been a bit MIA this week - big doings here and I've not had time to blog.  I hope to be back at it daily soon - hang in there.   Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!!

My Five - Victoria Beckham Fall 2011

I always seem to kick off Fashion Week coverage with Victoria's collection.  It's always one I'm excited to see.  This collection was full of color with a more relaxed silhouette (me thinks she will be rocking many of the looser dresses as her pregnancy progresses).  This time around she introduced coats along with some additions to the handbags introduced last go round.  All in all, I've got to give her a lot of credit for her consistency and ability to edit which always makes for a strong showing!  Enjoy my picks!

Love these! - Brian Atwood Rose Gold Maniac Pumps

Ever since I saw the shiny Brian Atwood Rose Gold Maniac pumps in Victoria Beckham's Spring 2011 show, I've been totally obsessed.  These are such gorgeous shoes!
Rose gold is very much the metallic-of-the-moment (I've proclaimed my love of it before).  I'm just hoping we see some rose gold colored shoes at the lower price points soon.  I'm dreaming of a lovely pair of ballet flats in gleaming rose gold.

If you are interested in the originals, Nordstrom is offering a pre-order now ($596) most sizes are gone though.  But Brian Atwood tweeted that these shoes would probably be available at Net-A-Porter, Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus down the line.

My Take: Victoria Beckham green with envy

Oh, you all know I adore Victoria and she showed off some fab outfits while she was in NY to show her Spring 2011 collection.  I really loved this Goat dress with Brian Atwood platform pumps.
Time for a "my take"!  I tried to get close to the color of the dress, I had to lean towards green more than turquoise, but made up for it with the cut.  I gave lots of shoe options, platform, flat, etc.  Love lots of options!
