What I Wore Wednesday 10-9-2013

Seriously, I have been slacking off in the dressing department lately. I've been heavily into decluttering, cleaning and just lazy about getting dolled up.  So I've been heavy into yoga pants/tee shirt combos.  Hey, give me a break :o)  Here's one outfit I wore in the past week.

Tee - Target
Pants - Gap
Shoes - MaxStudio
Bag - DVF for LeSportsac (extremely old)

What I Wore Wednesday 5-29-2013

Just a few outfits this week - and for some reason the pictures are super crappy.  Oh well, better luck next time.  Here are the details:
Left:  Sweater - F21 thrifted
Shoes - MaxStudio
Necklace - giveaway win from ages ago

Right:  Tee - Target
Shoes - Thrifted
Necklace - Birthday gift

And here's a super bad picture taken in the full length mirror of the outfit I wore to Bloggy Boot Camp in Charlotte a couple of weeks ago (I owe you all a recap, don't I? Yes, yes I do. In the meantime, Ricci Explains it all did a great "10 Things I Learned at Bloggy Boot Camp" post if you want to check it out).
Please ignore the mess in the background, it was laundry day.
Shoes - MaxStudio

What I Wore Wednesday 5-1-2013

One outfit this week.  It's a bright and cheerful one though!

Tee - J.Crew outlet
Pants - Gap
Shoes - Max Studio
Bag - Momentum Textiles trade show swag

Here's a better look at the bag from a few contract trade shows ago.  I ran across it in my closet and thought it was perfect for this time of year.  And bonus, I didn't spend a dime on it!

What I Wore Wednesday!

Okay, I'm slowly getting back to "normal" after the move and starting the new job.  I'm not 100% caught up with my online stuff, but I'm getting there.  By the way is anyone else having issues commenting on some blogs?  Some blogs I can comment normally with my Blogger ID, others make me "anonymous" - so bizarre.  I'll chalk it up to Blogger being a super pain these past few weeks because I have no other excuse.  Anyway, here are some outfits I've worn recently.  I wish I could say I've been in real clothes more than yoga pants these past few weeks, but with unpacking and moving I basically lived in the dreaded yoga pants - ha!  Again, I'm linking up with The Pleated Poppy for WIWW - click here to see what everyone else wore!
Tunic - Tory Burch
Jeans - Gap (via Platos Closet)
Tank - Target
Wedges - Kors Michael Kors

T-Shirt - Target
Pants - J.Crew
Shoes - Gap
Necklace - Giveaway win from the lovely Ms. Givens over at Trend Wisely (Thank you! It's gorgeous!)

Here's a close up - the big beads are pink with little beads in between that are a golden color.  This necklace sparkles and shines and I LOVE it!!

This was the outfit I was wearing when I spent the night at the Atlanta airport.  I took this picture before I left when I was trying to figure out some outfits to wear (so excuse the wrinkled pants and the chopped off head)
Tunic - Michael Kors (sample sale score!)
Tank - Target
Pants - Old Navy
Shoes - Tory Burch
Necklace - House of Harlow

Top - Old Navy
Jeans - Gap (via Platos Closet)
Shoes - Toms
Necklace - Made by my Mom

T-Shirt - J.Crew
Skirt - Barneys New York
Shoes - Coach
This skirt is so much fun (and it's lightweight and easy to wear, perfect for today when it's supposed to be around 100 degrees!).  Here is a closeup of the water can print.

What I Wore Wednesday!

Linking up with The Pleated Poppy for WIWW!  I'm totally lame with just one outfit to post, but hey that's how it's been around here lately.

Top - Liberty of London for Target
Jeans - Gap (my very first pair of skinny jeans that didn't make me feel like an ice cream cone when I put them on.  I've got hips so skinny jeans can be tricky.)
Shoes - Cynthia Vincent for Target

Close up of the print on the top - I love this print (and waited patiently for the top to go on sale).
We had to hop in the car and do a little road trip the day I wore this, that road trip involved a little detour through Atlanta to drop of something from my husband's work to a place that was in a very bad part of Atlanta.  Like, oh-look-there's-some-hookers-and-a-drug-deal-going-down, part of Atlanta.  How do I know they were hookers - well one was talking to a guy through the window of his car obviously "negotiating" something or maybe they were just discussing the stock market, who am I to judge?  It's funny because I'm Southern born and bred, but I never have clicked with Atlanta.  I have many ties to the city (my Dad went to high school there, my Grandmother worked at Emory University's hospital) but I always feel out of place.  One cool thing about any trip through Atlanta is when you get near Hartsfield Jackson airport and see the airplanes taking off and landing.  One after another, sometimes two landing almost side by side on different runways.   Just airplanes galore!

What I Wore Wednesday!

I'm linking up with The Pleated Poppy again for WIWW!  The only shots I had that looked good were the ones where I'm looking down - ha!  Away we go...
Top - Tory Burch
Pants - Old Navy
Shoes - Cynthia Vincent for Target

Sweater - Theory
Tank - Target
Pants - Old Navy
Shoes - Payless
Necklace - Charlotte Russe (love it, but it's starting to fall apart after only a few months - that's what you get for $11)

Here's a close up of the shoes, I just love them.  Got them years ago at Payless (my old office in NYC was above a big Payless - danger!).  I haven't worn them a lot, they've pretty much sat in my closet since 2007, but I rediscovered them a couple of months ago and put them back in rotation.  Glad I did!

By the way - the dreaded denim printed diapers are back - saw them at Target yesterday.  Again - WHY?!?!

What I Wore Wednesday!

Yay, it's my favorite time of the week, linking up with The Pleated Poppy to share some outfits I wore this week (and seeing what everyone else wore too).  I'm keeping it to two today, but check back in on Friday when I will post a couple of more.  It was a much better week than last and you can tell by my clothes and all the color that returned to my face.  Away we go...
It was all about layers on this day - chilly morning, warm afternoon.
Cardigan - Forever21
Top - Rodarte for Target
Tank (underneath) - Target
Pants - J.Crew
Shoes - Payless
Necklace and Earrings - made by my Mom

Another day of layers, it was warm but I had to go to a meeting and look somewhat professional, so I busted out the black blazer.  And the white pants, heck yeah, I busted those out too!!!  Trust me when it's already been in the 90's you can wear white pants ;o)
Blazer - Gap
Top - Old Navy
Pants - Old Navy
Shoes - Cole Haan
Necklace - made by my Mom

Outfit Post (and why I've been M.I.A. since Friday)

I'm linking up with The Pleated Poppy today for WIWW (what I wore Wednesday) for this outfit post, it's so much fun, check it out!  Anyway, here is my one measly, sad little outfit post - my first post since Friday.  Why only one outfit today and no posts since Friday?  Well, it's a tale of woe that started Saturday morning when the stomach bug that my girl had the weekend before (you know, the one I thought I had outsmarted by not catching) reared it's ugly head and sucker punched me.  And I mean hit me hard and fast and knocked me out for 24 hours.  It was not a pretty time my friends, not a pretty time at all.  Yesterday I ate three meals for the first time since Friday.  And I'm going to be honest, the tummy is still not quite right.  But enough of that gag-worthy talk.  Here is the outfit I threw on yesterday morning before rushing out to a Dr's appt for my girl - one that we never made it to.  Why?  I'll tell you after the photos:
Still looking a bit sickly, I'm sorry to say.
Tunic - Tory Burch
 Tank (underneath) - Target
Pants - J.Crew
Shoes (you can't see) - Payless

Here's a better look at the print on the tunic:

We went out to my car to go to the appointment and well, the darn car wouldn't start.  It just sat there mocking me while I turned the key.  Grrr.  And I couldn't reach my husband since he was at the Master's practice rounds (no phones, etc are allowed in Augusta National because it could jeapordize national security or world peace or something like that) so we just cancelled and now have to deal with my car - fun.

One perk to being stuck at home for a day, I got to play catch up (though I still have much more catching up to do from the "lost weekend").  That is all for now, I was hoping to start up a new "uniform dressing" this week, but alas that will have to wait until next.  It will be a good one though, you will want to come back and check it out!
