Marc Jacobs Spring 2013 - My Five
If you don't like stripes or checks, then stay away from this collection. A kind of precursor to his Louis Vuitton Spring collection - he rarely overlaps/connects these two collections (things are generally kept very separate) but this time they could be half-sisters! I'm digging the mod vibe! Here are my picks!

My Five - Louis Vuitton Spring 2013
This collection was mod, 60's awesome! The Damier check featured heavily from small to large, mixed and matched. Yellow, green, black, white, beige, brown and grey was the palette. And there was not one classic monogram on anything! I loved it and yes, now I'm craving a checked shirt (add it to the shopping list!). Enjoy my picks!
Meanwhile this song popped up in my head while I was scrolling through the pictures of this collection - groovy!

My Five - Louis Vuitton Fall 2012 (part 1)
At first glance this collection came off as sort of yawn inducing, early 1900's inspired (what?), mix of seemingly shapeless layers. At least that was my first impression. I put off even looking at the collection in depth because the whole 1910's "theme" seemed so boring and gimmicky. But I was wrong, so wrong. The parts are so strong that the whole thing made a lot more sense. Now, I wouldn't really wear any of these looks head-to-toe straight from the runway, but I tell you I would gladly take any one of the pieces, bags and/or shoes and run. Oh the fabrics, the details, the colors, the embellishments are completely gorgeous. So gorgeous, I'm going to split the coverage up into two posts. So sit back and enjoy my clothing picks (I'll share my accessory picks tomorrow):

My Five - Louis Vuitton Spring 2012
A very pastel, white, daisy eyelet sort of collection. Every shoe was had a silver, pointy tip (again silver shoes are apparently going to be THE thing - so start hunting now). Here are my picks, enjoy!

There were a lot of these razor sharp croc jackets/blazers. These are outstanding and scream "Price Available Upon Request"!
A lot of the clothes towards the end of the presentation had these large flower sequins(?) on them that veered dangerously into making one look like the floor of a bathtub/shower from the 60's - 70's. Did those non-slip flower stickers help at all? From what I remember it just made the bathtub that much harder to clean.

Rumors...
Marc Jacobs heading to Dior and Pheobe Philo heading to Louis Vuitton (while still remaining at Celine as creative director)? Could be interesting. Thoughts?

Love This! - Zaha Hadid Louis Vuitton Icone Bag
Check out this handbag designed for Louis Vuitton back in 2006 by Architect Zaha Hadid (was part of her Architecture and Design Exhibition). Absolutely amazing!
