In case you were wondering what I looked like as a bride...

I mentioned a few days ago on Twitter that I have recently accepted a new job (I start next week - eek!) so I've been scrambling to figure out childcare, etc.  And on top of that, we've been packing up our "for sale" house so some renters can move in, hence the lack of blog posts.  Well, I'm having to figure out what we take and what gets put into storage for the time being.  When we first put the house on the market I went around and took down things to make the house less "personal" and I forgot I had stashed my wedding portrait under the bed.  Here it is before it gets put away - again.  Ha!  We got married on 11/6/2004 and it was warm enough that I didn't need a wrap or anything, which was nice.

Big day!

It's not only her big day:

 But it's her big day too!

BIG congrats to Sarah Burton and the team at Alexander McQueen and their amazing work on Kate's gorgeous wedding gown!  I'm hoping this dress will start a trend of wedding dresses with sleeves - yay!

 And I can't not show what Victoria Beckham wore to the wedding (Philip Treacy hat, Victoria Beckham dress - natch, Louboutin heels).  I'm kinda loving that she wore her hair in a ponytail.

Sorry, I've been a bit MIA this week - big doings here and I've not had time to blog.  I hope to be back at it daily soon - hang in there.   Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!!

Holy Crap!

Please pardon the pun, I couldn't resist! Cheap Chic Weddings.com had a contest to make a wedding dress out of toilet paper and the winner was Ann Kagawa Lee of Hawaii. Check out her creation (made from toilet paper, glue and tape)! Her inspirations were "Gone With The Wind", which explains the hat (also made from toilet paper), and Japanese Origami. Wow! She only got $1000 as a prize, seems like a lot of work for $1K, but you go girl!
