The 30 for 30 is over?

If it's Wednesday, it must be outfit post day.  It's been slim pickings around here, with my girl's illness and various house projects I've been working on, I've been keeping it very casual, comfortable and washable.  But when I have dressed like a person not going to the gym, I've been revisiting my 30 for 30 items.  I just go to them again and again.  I guess that means I picked well or I have hardly any clothes in my closet.  My closet is bare bones people and will not be replenished in any way until I transition back into the working world so basically my whole life is one big 30 for 30 - ha!  (Hey, Kendi when is the Spring challenge? 'Cause I'm in!)  Anyway, here are a couple of outfits I wore in the past week.  Enjoy!
Wow, what am I doing with my face here?

Thought I would share a collage (crappily assembled with my old Photoshop - thankyouverymuch - lol!) of all of my 30 for 30 looks.  Enjoy!!!

30 for 30 - Dunzo!

I'm finished!!!  I'm so, so, so glad I decided to participate in the 30 for 30.  It was a great challenge to my creativity and to my ability to take a picture of myself every single day.  That was the hardest part, some days were awkward, some days I just looked (and felt) awful, some days it felt like a chore.  But then balance that with the days that were exciting, the hearing from other 30 for 30 remixers (LOVED that), visiting and being inspired by other remixers!  Overall it was a fantastic experience that I probably will participate in again.  And yes, I bought absolutely nothing (clothing and accessory related) for myself in the 30 days and didn't feel deprived at all!

29 of 30 - About to Wrap It Up...

Only one outfit left in the 30 for 30 challenge and I can't believe it.  It honestly hasn't been as difficult as I was afraid it was going to be - don't get me wrong, there are days I want to wear other items - but not as many days as I feared there would be.  Maybe because my closet has been cleaned to almost bare bones and I have been "remixing" for a while now, or maybe because I have a lot of solids and not many patterns in my closet (which is good and bad) or maybe I gained more remixing confidence as the days wore on. I'm not sure, but I do know that feel so much better for participating!

Here is the next to the last look...

28 of 30 - Hot and Hermes

Okay, it got to be darn hot the day I wore this - like 86 degrees and thunderstorms.  I put the shawl on in the morning and ditched it about an hour into the day.  Seriously, a basic outfit and I was hot, tired and cranky.  CRANKY because they are paving the road in front of where we live and they decided that 9pm the night before would be a great time to pave - so loud and smelly and it took them until about 1am.  It happens....

*I must note that the shawl was my first wedding anniversary present from my hubby (back when we used to buy things for each other - nowadays, not so much).  It's a huge, cashmere/silk shawl (56" x 56") and I don't wear it as much as I would like.  It's almost too precious being Hermes, if I lost it or something happened to it I would be heartsick.

27 of 30 - Black and Blue

No, I'm not bruised, just loving this cobalt blue set off with the black pants.  I decided to throw on some turquoise jewelry for another little pop of color.  It doesn't get easier than this people!  Have you noticed that my hair is a bit darker?  Well, probably not since my pictures are so dark anyway, but I cracked open a box of Nice n' Easy and zhushed up the color.  Ooops, I just ruined the illusion of me being a natural redhead - lol!  God's in on the joke though because he gave me a little redhead girl to really confuse everyone...

26 of 30 - Styling 101

This outfit is as basic as basic can get.  It contains all the items of clothing "that every woman should own".  Truth be told, you should own these, they do work, they take you from preschool drop off to a Skype call (where you have to look all professional) with ease.  So go out and get yourself some jeans that fit, basic white tee and a black blazer.  Throw in some leopard flats for good measure!  By the way, during my Skype call later in the day, I noticed how flat my hair was and I that should really have put on some darker lip color with the black blazer.  Any suggestions as to lip colors that look good with fair skin and red hair?  I have the worst time figuring out what lip items to purchase other than Burt's Bees lip balms.

25 of 30 - Spring Stripes

Here's the second appearance of this sweater and it will be the last.  It's just been too warm to wear a sweater all day (I had to switch to a t-shirt around 11am).  Oh well, I'm just glad we are in the home stretch because some days the shorts in my closet are calling my name.  But you realize as soon as the 30 for 30 challenge is over the temperatures will plunge and it won't even matter.  That's how it goes...

24 of 30 - Stripes with a Side of Bloat

I must apologize for my face in these pictures, seriously.  What the heck is up?  Double chin - check, hair a mess - check, top bunching up around my bra - check.  I think my Reese's peanut butter cup addiction is taking it's toll on me - ha!  Yeah, I've been hitting the peanut butter cups hard lately, not good.  I'll blame my lack of willpower  PMS.

By the way, have you seen the bags of the super mini Reese's cups?  EVIL, they are pure evil!

23 of 30 - Turquoise and Black

Simple and easy outfit, doesn't get easier than a black tee and jeans - just jazzed up with some good ol' statement jewelry!  I'm a woman of few words today...

22 of 30 - Like A Tree

Ah, this was a good outfit - a comfy outfit.  As I was editing these pictures I noticed that I sort of look like a tree, all green on top and brown on the bottom.  I also noticed that I have some stains on this shirt that have appeared - boo.  And yeah, I ditched the cardigan as the day went on (again).

21 of 30 - Denim and Sparkles

I'm back!  Thanks for all the kind comments and words of encouragement about my little "out of control to do list" break.  I feel much more in control now.   I'm sure this feeling will pass soon though - ha!  Now back to the 30 for 30 outfit posts...

I can't believe it's only the second time I've worn this sweater.  I just love it, but again, let me tell you it's been a bit warm here, a little too warm for me to have worn this.  I must confess that I ditched it by the end of the day and ran around the house in the white tank and jeans.  I also really have a hard time wearing any necklace with this sweater other than this one.  They just fit so well together.

20 of 30 - Tucker for Target, Again! Please?

10 outfits left people!  I can't believe it.  It's honestly flown by, but I have a feeling things are going to be a bit more challenging from here to #30.  I busted out the Tucker for Target blouse again, pushing the sleeves up so they are more short than long.  This is one great blouse, I'm secretly hoping for Tucker to do another Target line, even though usually those are just a one shot deal.  Darn.  I can still hope, can't I?

19 of 30 - Cobalt Blue and Stripes

Can you believe I'm almost 2/3 of the way into this challenge and I haven't worn this cardigan until now?  I can't.  It's so perfect at the moment with the weather - I'll be wearing the heck out of it this Spring for sure!  I adore this outfit, it's so comfortable, but the necklace and the shoes make it a bit more special.  I will say that as much as I love these black pants, it may be about time to retire them, they are fading and not fitting as well as they did pre-baby.  My mid-section isn't what it used to be - grrr!  I really need to embrace Pilates again, add that to my to do list...

18 of 30 - All About A Necklace and a Thank You!

My friend gave me this necklace about 4 years ago - the kicker here - she made it.  It makes any outfit a bit more special!  She also made me some pretty cool beaded peacock earrings that are total statement pieces.  I mean really, such talent!  Still finding that this cardigan is great for this time of year - it's thin, but not too thin, it keeps the chill out in the morning, but isn't too heavy for the mild afternoons.  Love it!

As for the Thank You - a couple of weeks ago I won a giveaway over at Bon Chic Bon Gastronomique for a custom t-shirt from Elephant in the Room baby boutique.  Well, I chose the fab Pearl necklaces and flower shirt.  I just got it in the mail and let me tell you it's adorable!

See what I mean?  I can't wait for my girl to wear it!  So a big Thank You to Shea and Malorie!

Have a great weekend!!!

17 of 30 - Layers and Layers

Pretty straightforward outfit.  It's that time of year here in Georgia where it's chilly in the morning but in the 70's by the afternoon.  It's all about layers right now!  I'm a woman of few words today, feeling a bit burnt out for some reason.  But hey, the 30 for 30 is going really well and I can't believe I'm more than halfway through it.  So far so good...
