My Take - Reed Krakoff Spring 2013

Yay!  First "My Take" in a long time (too long).  I picked this outfit from Reed Krakoff's Spring 2013 collection because it's super cute and I could visualize wearing it, and of course, recreating it on a budget!

All of Reed Krakoff's collections are a study in understated, unfussy luxury.  And this collection is no different, although it's a bit more "sporty" than his usual offerings.  Love his mixture of leathers and fabrics of all textures and weights, pairing the "light" with the "heavy".  Here are my picks:

A very streamlined collection from Mr. Krakoff.  It's all about black, grey, winter whites, beiges and orange (it's sticking around).  I loved all the mixture of textures from furry to flowy transparent.  I'm also taking note of the mixture of neutrals, love that!  Here are my picks, but first let's start with a couple of outstanding accessories.

Happy Weekend, Happy New Year and Various Pre-Fall 2011 Picks

Wow, can you all believe that 2010 is almost over?  This year flew by (and was sooo much better than 2009 that's for sure)!  I hope everyone has a happy and healthy 2011!  I'll finish out this week with some additional Pre-Fall 2011 picks from various collections.  After looking through all these Pre-Fall offerings from the past week or two a few trends pop out.  First, colorblocking is going to be big, blue isn't going anywhere (along with neutrals and orange), and flats were shown a lot which is totally refreshing!  See you in 2011!

Happy Weekend and I'm still loving yellow...

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!  Next week I'm going to do my Couture roundup (yee haw! yep I just said that), each day featuring a show with the looks I thought were important, along with some fun "my take's".  On that note, I'm still really into yellow, I love it going into Fall too.

So I came up with a little dream outfit for late Summer/early Fall (down here in Georgia it doesn't really cool down so much until October).  I say "dream" 'cause some of the items are a bit pricey (hello, necklace and purse) but not totally outrageous.  It pretty much sums up how I want to look in the coming months (switch out the white pants for some dark denim or dark brown pants later on if you want).  *sigh*

Reed Krakoff Fall 2010

I was extremely interested in seeing what the creative head of Coach had up his sleeve for his first signature collection of clothing.  He didn't disappoint, a lux mix of cozy, comfy, hip and wearable.  It's not often when you feel you can literally take a piece directly off the runway and incorporate it into your day-to-day life.  I felt this way when I was looking through this collection.  I love the lace-up-the-front boots.  Here are the looks I liked:
