A little change to the list, I decided to include my beauty purchases every month from here on out.  That's what made me go nuts this month - the beauty purchases.  As I'm getting older, my skin is changing and I'm trying to tweak what I'm using to find the right mix.  So I'm trying out a few new items to see what works for my soon-to-be-40-year-old-skin.

What I Bought - May 2013

Can you all believe tomorrow is June 1st?  This year is zipping by.  We joined a gym so I had to buy workout gear (bathing suit included for the water aerobics classes - yes, yes I did buy swim shorts like an 80 year old woman. And I had to buy sneakers because the heel literally ripped out of my other pair, I wish I could say they ripped because I worked out so hard, but sadly they were just old).  Here's what I bought:

What I Bought - February 2013

I thought I would start rounding up my clothing purchases on the blog each month.  I love when other bloggers do this, so I thought I would jump in and do it too!  I'm going to hit you with three months over the next three days (and get caught up).  Now, first a little about the "B" word - Budget!  I don't have a set monthly budget for clothes specifically.  I have a very strict food/household goods budget that I stick to.  I'm so militant about staying within my means (nothing is worth the stress of consumer debt).  I don't work outside the home (I work part-time from my home and when I do have to go to the mill I have a company uniform I wear).  So really my needs are slim (meanwhile, my wants are out of control - ha!).  I like to keep things simple and basic and I can't stand a crammed closet.  I generally buy good quality items that I know will last a while.  Therefore, I rarely spend more than $100 a month on clothes/beauty items.  This month was an exception because I won a gift card to Coldwater Creek!  Here's what I got in February:

Fab Finds! - Coldwater Creek Edition

Happy Monday! This week starts a series where I'm going to show you some fab finds from places you might not usually shop. What triggered this series is the lace top of mine in the outfit below:

It's a lovely lace tank from Coldwater Creek. Coldwater Creek?!?! Isn't that the store where women of a certain age shop for figure forgiving outfits? (think Bea Arthur in "Golden Girls") Well, yes it is. But my point is there are some gems in that mine, you just have to look. The best part is that when you shop in the stores that aren't in the radars of everyone else in your demo, you may just find something really unique at a price that's right.
