What I Bought - October 2013
Extremely lean month when it comes to buying clothing, only one shirt (and it's mostly just to knock around the house in - but, I love Regular Show and had a coupon so I couldn't resist).
Regular Show tee from Target - $11 (with coupon)
Total spent out of pocket = $11
I've been in purge mode, trying to get rid of everything that no longer fits, looks good, or relevant to my life. The good news is I sold $174 worth of stuff on Poshmark. The bad news is I've still got a bunch of stuff still on the site ready for buyers ;) Stay tuned, I'm planning on doing a little closet inventory and sharing it.
And while my clothing purchases were slim, don't think I wasn't dropping some coin somewhere. I kind of went a little Etsy crazy this month. I decided to share because it's fun to discover new Etsy finds. I'm working on some gallery walls for me and my girl so that explains the picture overload.

I want this - Golly Bard art
I was checking out a new (to me) blog Post Grad Hair Cut (check it out, she finds some pretty amazing things), and she did a post about artist Golly Bard and I was completely smitten. Check out some of my personal favorites from her Etsy store:
Lovely, right? I think I might have to make a few purchases once we get settled in a new house (whenever that will be - ha!).

(Felt) Rock On!
I am really into felt rocks these days for some odd reason. They are just wads of wool felted down to make these rock-looking knick knacks, but I think they are very cool. What is felting you may ask? Well, if you've ever washed and/or dried a 100% wool sweater, then you have experienced felting. Felting can be done a number of ways, none of which I will bore you with here. A few companies are doing them, here are a couple.
First up Ronel Jordaan Textiles, they make very large and very small ones (the latter can be pieced together and used as rugs, which are very cool). Their "rocks" are quite realistic looking, which is probably very hard to do and labor intensive.

Then there's Molo Design, their rocks aren't as realistic and seem to serve only as decoration and novelty. Still, they are cool (and pricey).
I found a few examples on Etsy which are more in my price range:
Of course I could always turn to my fiber artist BFF and see if she could make me a few (see her felting work here). Ah, the choices.

I want this!

I just love these fabric roses (real branches used as the stems!) from Allen Company Inc over on Etsy. There are a few colorways available: sage, tweed, fig, white and (my favorite) gothic. Sold in bunches of 24 for $175 - but she can do custom stuff too. Very cool!Images via Allen Company Inc

I want this!
I want this, not for me, but for my little girl. How adorable are these dolls from sophie and lili? I love that they are able to be customized with the child's name on the back.
There are many other styles of the dolls too (from different skin tone and hair colors, etc.). What a great gift idea! One of these will certainly be in my daughter's future! Check out their store here.Images via sophie and lili

I want this!
This weekend I visited the first (I hope there are many more) Hatch Market. There were some wonderful vendors and I ran across this necklace from Grey Area - yes, it's an actual orange slice dried and sealed. The necklaces are stunning in person and certainly conversation starters! Such fun!

I want this!
I've been sniffing around Etsy for a while and discovering some very lovely things. (I found out about this seller from a post from one of my favorite blogs, Layers of Meaning.) I've mentioned before about how much I love collecting interesting Scottie dog items and this fits the bill.
You can find it here. So cute!
