My Five - Hermes Spring 2012

Beautifully strong collection.  I wanted to see more handbags though ('cause I'm a Hermes junkie, like that).  Here are my picks:

28 of 30 - Hot and Hermes

Okay, it got to be darn hot the day I wore this - like 86 degrees and thunderstorms.  I put the shawl on in the morning and ditched it about an hour into the day.  Seriously, a basic outfit and I was hot, tired and cranky.  CRANKY because they are paving the road in front of where we live and they decided that 9pm the night before would be a great time to pave - so loud and smelly and it took them until about 1am.  It happens....

Shawl detail

Top - #8
Pants - #17
Shoes - #27
Necklace and Earrings - made by Mom
Shawl* - Hermes

*I must note that the shawl was my first wedding anniversary present from my hubby (back when we used to buy things for each other - nowadays, not so much).  It's a huge, cashmere/silk shawl (56" x 56") and I don't wear it as much as I would like.  It's almost too precious being Hermes, if I lost it or something happened to it I would be heartsick.

My Take - Hermes Spring 2011

Oh gosh, is it too early to go ahead and do a my take of a look from Spring 2011?  I don't think so, it's been in the lower 70's during the day here in Georgia so I've not put away my short sleeves or sandals quite yet.
Plus, this look is pretty transitional - swap out the strappy heels for a bootie when it's chilly out.  Don't you love the leather jacket?  I wonder how much that baby costs?  Wait, I don't want to know.  Here's my more affordable version of this Hermes look.

My Five - Hermes Spring 2011

Here are (a few more than) five picks from Jean Paul Gaultier's last collection for Hermes.  Enjoy!

Lots of Kelly bags shown, don't recall any Birkins on the runway. Might we be seeing a shift towards the Kelly? (I still prefer the Birkin or the Lindy over the Kelly, in case you wanted to know - ha!)

A little "transparent crocodile" - seriously (jacket and bag)...

I want this! - pyramid jewelry

I keep seeing pyramid jewelry everywhere.   I like it because it's edgy and sophisticated all at the same time.  Perhaps inspired by a combination of punk rock and the granddaddy of super lux/tough bracelets, the Hermes Collier de Chien (retailing for around $1,025)?
Well here are a few slightly more budget friendly options:
