Best Dressed - Golden Globes 2014

Did you watch? I only watched the opening shtick by Amy and Tina and then bailed (I'm so tired of the awards part).  Of course most of us just tune in to see what everyone is wearing (pretty much the only reason I tune in)!  So I'm jumping in my my picks for best dressed.  Here we go:
Loved Michelle Dockery in Oscar de la Renta

Lupita Nyong'o in Ralph Lauren

Emma Watson in Dior - I think this is such a bold, original choice. Love!

Zoe Saldana in Prabal Gurung

Sofia Vergara in Zac Posen (how about that stunning Lorraine Schwartz necklace!)

Julie Bowen in Carolina Herrera

Sandra Bullock in Prabal Gurung

Amy Adams in Valentino Haute Couture - my vote for best hair and makeup, it was just beautiful!

Jessica Chastain in Givenchy Haute Couture

So, who where your faves?

Best Dressed - Golden Globes 2013

First of all I'm guest posting over at Miss Information today, head over and check it out!

Like almost everyone else in the blogosphere, I'm going to put in my two cents on who I thought brought the gorgeous last night at the Golden Globe awards (I only caught the first 1/2 hour, but I could tell that Tina and Amy totally rocked as co-hosts).  Here are my picks for best dressed:

Jennifer Lawrence in Dior Haute Couture
And yes, the "wonky boob" that I referred to in my review of this collection made an appearance (why doesn't someone tell Raf to rip those flaps/folds off?).  Wonky boob aside, this dress was just gorgeous on her, perfect color, great belt, and she has the body to pull it off (it looks better on her than it did on the runway)! Oh and check out the guy in the sunglasses behind her - he's all like "Hello, Miss Lawrence!"

Naomi Watts in Zac Posen (about the only time you'll ever see a Zac Posen pick on this here blog - his clothes usually grate on me) the color is gorgeous on her and the back (which I saw on TV is really beautiful with the fabric mix).

Rebecca Miller in Marc Jacobs - didn't see this on the carpet, but when I saw this picture I just fell in love. The length with the tall boots, so unexpected and quirky, it works and I want it! If you have to tag along to an event like this, this is how you do it!

Kate Hudson in Alexander McQueen - she just looked so radiant (her hair was fabulous)!

Did you watch? Who were your picks?

My Two Cents - Best Dressed Golden Globes 2011

I've been looking at all the photos, hearing what people have to say, thinking about it (what else are you going to do on a rainy Monday?) and Emma Stone in Calvin Klein gets my vote for best dressed.  I just love the whole look and even her blonde hair.  Fab!

Golden Globes 2010 - my picks for best dressed

I'm over award shows, I used to LOVE watching them, but for me watching them now is just awkward and boring.  I honestly don't care who wins what at this point (unless it's a friend or family member - ha).  Besides, the best part about the shows is seeing who wears what, right?!  I mean, come on that's the fun bit!  I did tune in for a few minutes of the "pre-game" - as I like to call it - on E! so I saw a couple of dresses in person, so to speak (this was before the hubby hogged the remote to watch a basketball game - BTW, whomever designed Duke's uniforms with that horrible light grey print all over the back should be smacked.  Who allowed the Oklahoma Sooners basketball team to have the word "Sooners" written across the behind like they are wearing Juicy Couture?  Aren't we all over this questionable trend?  There was a time 10-15 years ago when sports uniforms started looking decent, now they've all gone crappy again.  Who's designing this stuff?)  Oh dear, I digress, sorry.  Anyhoo, here are my picks for best dressed at the Golden Globes.

Sofia Vergara in Carolina Herrera (okay I saw this one on E! and the picture doesn't do it justice - the back is outstanding, the color combination divine)

Maggie Gyllenhaal in RM by Roland Mouret

Emily Blunt in Dolce and Gabbana (am I the only one who has a girl crush on her?)

Sandra Bullock in Bottega Veneta

Amy Adams in Carolina Herrera (I have to give her special mention because the emerald green dress and golden orange of the accessories are a fab color combination and she's pregant rocking Louboutins)

Courteney Cox in *gasp* Victoria Beckham (might this be the first major red carpet appearance by a VB dress?  I think so.)

Cameron Diaz in Alexander McQueen
