My Five - Louis Vuitton Spring 2013

This collection was mod, 60's awesome!  The Damier check featured heavily from small to large, mixed and matched.  Yellow, green, black, white, beige, brown and grey was the palette.  And there was not one classic monogram on anything!  I loved it and yes, now I'm craving a checked shirt (add it to the shopping list!).  Enjoy my picks!

My Five - Donna Karan Spring 2013

Once upon a time when I was a young teen I dreamed of being just like Donna Karan.  I just loved her, I loved her designs, I loved her ads, I loved the whole vibe that her brand gave off. I was mesmerized and obsessed with becoming a "Donna" woman.  That hasn't changed over the years.  I still find the idea of the "Donna" woman enchanting. Last Fall's super tailored collection was typical DK of old (anyone else remember her "seven easy pieces"?).  This collection is more DK of recent times.  A more relaxed, flowy, ethereal DK gal.  Make no mistake, it's still tailored, but in a more drapey way.  The palette was so gorgeous, soothing and sophisticated.  Hey Donna, feel free to send any of these my way!

A solid, compact collection full of dresses, skirts and lovely pantsuits that aren't crazy fancy, but they are super polished and fun.  I always enjoy her dressed up, not stuffy vibe.  Here are my picks enjoy!

My Five - Alexander McQueen Spring 2013

Ahhh, I can always count on Sarah Burton to bring it.  This collection was all about bees.  Yep, you heard me, bees.  Honeycomb patterns, gold and honey colors, bee encrusted jewelry and embellishment.  It sounds a little cheesy, but trust me in the hands of Ms. Burton it's sophisticated and girly.  As always, I'm consistently blown away/inspired/in awe of anything that marches out on a McQueen runway (I'm sure I'm biased considering Lee McQueen was my favorite designer of all time).  Here are my many picks and trend takeaways, enjoy!

My Five - Oscar de la Renta Spring 2013

Winner, winner, chicken dinner!  This collection may be my favorite of Spring 2013.  It was one enchanting look after another.  We are talking what could be considered couture quality fabrics and construction here.  And it all felt so right, so now yet so timeless.  I LOVED the shots of color in the hair that gave the ladylike looks a little edge and punk.  Prepare yourselves for a gorgeous fashion ride by one of the all time greats.  I picked a lot of looks, but I'm sure you will agree, they are all so swoon worthy, enjoy!
