My Five - Emilio Pucci Spring 2012

Ahhh, Peter Dundas has proven to be a fab fit for the Pucci label.  I swear he's managed to marry the fun, jet set prints with a boho modern vibe.  Glam and granola, if you will.  I LOVE it!  Brilliant!  Here are my picks from this collection.

This wedding dress - oh.my.Lord.  I want it and I'm already married!

A knitted, beaded skull motif?  Yeah, baby!

My Five - Alexander McQueen Spring 2012

Wow, just wow.  Sarah Burton has not stumbled once since taking the helm of McQueen - not once.  Is Lee directing her from beyond the grave?  Was she just so in sync with him during their time together that she just knows what to do and more importantly, what he may have done?  Sure, the collections since his death have a more feminine feel (obviously), but she still has managed to capture the beauty mixed with the (almost) disturbing - which is why I adore McQueen.  And I haven't even touched upon the craftsmanship and how extraordinary the constructions are for ready-to-wear.  Remember this is not a couture show, but it might as well be.  Here are my more than five picks from this collection.  First up the outfits (then stay tuned tomorrow for the detail shots and accessories)!

Happy Weekend!

I don't know about you, but this week has been a total bummer.  It's been a week of trying so hard to get stuff done and not being able to just get finished.  A lot of loose ends waiting to be tied up, but not being able to, is just the worst feeling.  The good news is that it's Friday and I can start anew on Monday.  So I'm going to knock off a little early today, curl up with this book:

and just decompress.  Here's to a peaceful weekend and productive next week!  Hope everyone has the same!  See you next week!

Love This! - Fun Tops from Quiksilver

Quiksilver?!?  Yeah, seriously Quiksilver.  I know, I really only think about Quiksilver when I think of beach/surf wear, but look at these fun tops I ran across recently.  I love the almost painterly/watercolor/geometric quality of the prints.

Fun, right?  What do you think?

Love This! - Winter Kate & House of Harlow

Who out there isn't a fan (even just a little bit) of Nicole Ritchie's Boho style?  I know I am.  I really like her House of Harlow jewelry line (here's a post of me wearing my fave House of Harlow necklace).  Here are some of my picks from the jewelry line right now:

I've only ever really paid attention to the jewelry, but I must admit the leopard shoes caught my eye this time around.  They are just gorgeous, don't you agree?

I've also been smitten with her Winter Kate line of clothing since it came out, particularly the Kimono tops/cardigans.  They are a bit out of my budget right now, but they are great to look at.  Here are my Winter Kate Kimono cardigan picks:

What are your thoughts?  Are you a fan?

I Want This! - Prada Sunglasses

If you know me, you know I love pretty much anything Prada - it's an illness.  I've been seeing these Prada Baroque sunglasses around and I'm in love.
Prada at ShopStyle

Prada at ShopStyle

Check them out on Eva Mendes:

They are so much fun and so pretty.  Too bad they are $290 and that I've had to store any pair of sunglasses I own that cost more than $20 because the little one likes to break them (and any other pair of glasses within reach).  I'll be happy when this phase is over!

What do you all think - do you like them?

Home Shopping Fun! - Joan Rivers jewelry on QVC (on sale)

Sometimes you forget about good ol' Joan's line of jewelry, accessories and clothing on QVC.  In my opinion you can thank Joan for the bevy of celeb lines on the home shopping networks.  Her line was really one of the first and it's been incredibly successful, it allowed her to sort of "reinvent" herself after the falling out with Johnny Carson and her talk show went off the air (not to mention the suicide of her husband).  Heavy stuff right?  Love her or hate her she has managed to hang in there year after year and her tongue is as sharp as ever (but her face almost unrecognizable, please Joan stop with the surgery).  A side note, when my Mom and I were in London in 1998 we actually ran into her on Portobello Road buying vintage jewelry as inspiration for her line.  I was too shy to say hello, but my Mom chatted with her a bit and she could not have been sweeter.

Anyway, the point of all of this is that there are some good deals on her jewelry to be had over at QVC.  Check out my picks!

Crystal Cut-Out Rose Pin - $23.93 (sale)

Chic & Simple Chain Link 36" Necklace - $21.75 (sale) - the clear version of this looks amazing!

From what I understand, if anything says "As Is" that means that it's a sample, return or something that was shown on air, it's not in the original packaging, not in original condition (whatever that means).  The trade off is that the prices are much lower.
