I'm going to reach into the archives with this one, it's from Milly's Spring 2010 collection (my post here).
The color combination is what makes the look for me, there are quite a few colors happening, but they aren't jarring. Instead they are the same tone and a bit greyed out. It's a very comfortable color palette and honestly it would be one I would have pulled for fabric inspiration (in my previous work).
Anyway, I did two variations on the look. First up, the Spring/Summer look with shorts and a cardi for cool nights (which I'm having a hard time remembering seeing that last night at 9:30pm it was 88 degrees here - LOL!):
The next is more of a Fall version (yep, we are going there. It is August after all, it's right around the corner). And I just had to toss in a leopard shoe, which is so perfect with a look like this.

Happy Weekend and I'm still loving yellow...
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Next week I'm going to do my Couture roundup (yee haw! yep I just said that), each day featuring a show with the looks I thought were important, along with some fun "my take's". On that note, I'm still really into yellow, I love it going into Fall too.
Beautiful golden yellow dress from Reed Krakoff's Resort 2011 line.
So I came up with a little dream outfit for late Summer/early Fall (down here in Georgia it doesn't really cool down so much until October). I say "dream" 'cause some of the items are a bit pricey (hello, necklace and purse) but not totally outrageous. It pretty much sums up how I want to look in the coming months (switch out the white pants for some dark denim or dark brown pants later on if you want). *sigh*

My Five - Cerruti Resort 2011
We haven't really heard much from Cerruti in awhile. I decided to take a look at this collection really out of curiosity and I wasn't disappointed. Really clean lines with lovely colors, a good mix of tailored and drapey. I am going to keep my eye on Cerruti. In the meantime, my five favorite looks were:

My Take: Bethenny Frankel errand running Mommy
I'm a totally unashamed fan of Bethenny, I loved her on The Real Housewives of New York City and her new show is my guilty Summer pleasure. I decided to do a "my take" because I really love how this outfit perfectly sums up Summer - white, crisp, relaxed (but pulled together) with pops of color from the bags! I gotta love her toting around a bag of Pampers and a Hermes Birkin (woman after my own heart).

Use the pink tote as an extra bag - roll it up and tuck it in the purse when you don't need it - or stow it in the car for times when an extra bag comes in handy (hello, kiddos!). The blue purse is totally on trend for fall and really versatile!

I want this! - pyramid jewelry
I keep seeing pyramid jewelry everywhere. I like it because it's edgy and sophisticated all at the same time. Perhaps inspired by a combination of punk rock and the granddaddy of super lux/tough bracelets, the Hermes Collier de Chien (retailing for around $1,025)?

Well here are a few slightly more budget friendly options:
