BIG congrats to Sarah Burton and the team at Alexander McQueen and their amazing work on Kate's gorgeous wedding gown!  I'm hoping this dress will start a trend of wedding dresses with sleeves - yay!

 And I can't not show what Victoria Beckham wore to the wedding (Philip Treacy hat, Victoria Beckham dress - natch, Louboutin heels).  I'm kinda loving that she wore her hair in a ponytail.

Sorry, I've been a bit MIA this week - big doings here and I've not had time to blog.  I hope to be back at it daily soon - hang in there.   Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!!

Love These! - Emi-Jay Hair Ties

A few months ago I decided to try out a  Emi-Jay Hair Tie.  I've heard a lot of buzz about these and how great they are.  You've probably heard about them too, they were created by two teen girls with part of the proceeds from sales going to several charities.  Upon first inspection, I thought there was no way that this piece of elastic fabric tied in a knot at one end would hold my thick, somewhat unruly hair.  Boy was I wrong, it has quickly become my favorite hair tie.  It absolutely does not snag the hair and hurt, it also minimizes the ponytail bump.  You can wear it on your wrist with out it digging in or looking like a "crazy gal with her hair elastic on her wrist" (we've all been there).  So there you go, I'm sold.  The only drawback is that the elastic does stretch out faster than a traditional hair elastic, so I'm actually looking to replace the one I have.  Here are some of the ones I'm eyeballing.

Mini-trend Alert!

Hey guys, I'm going to have to postpone the second installment of Uniform Dressing until next week (where I'll hit it twice).  There are some things going on behind the scenes here in Spryland that need to be addressed (don't worry they are good things, not bad ones) but we have a lot of things to coordinate and work out which involves lots of time and phone calls.  I'll let you know about it a bit later.  Unfortunately, it doesn't involve a job for me yet, but I'm still working on that.  In the meantime enjoy this little mini-trend I spied late last week.

Saw these recently and they remind me of each other - a cool take on the stripe trend.  Funny how it's hitting home and clothing at the same time - love when that happens!

Here's a close up of the shoes, I just love them.  Got them years ago at Payless (my old office in NYC was above a big Payless - danger!).  I haven't worn them a lot, they've pretty much sat in my closet since 2007, but I rediscovered them a couple of months ago and put them back in rotation.  Glad I did!


By the way - the dreaded denim printed diapers are back - saw them at Target yesterday.  Again - WHY?!?!
