Love This! - Dannijo Umbilical Bracelet

I'm in love with these bracelets, which are a collaboration between blogger Leandra Medine (Manrepeller.com) and designers Danielle and Jodie Snyder of Dannijo.  How fun are these?

My Five - Yves Saint Laurent Fall 2012

This was Stefano Pilati's last collection for YSL, which kind of makes me sad, I've come to love his work there.  It felt like an homage to the wide shouldered, leather clad 80's gals.  It was all about black, large, scattered prints and chain mail.  Sounds scary, right?  Well, it's not, it's actually quite lovely.  But really what I want to discuss are the shoes - the SHOES!  The amazing, gorgeous, fantastic shoes!  Swoon city, people!  Check them out:

What do you think?

Here are a couple of outfit picks - I mostly focused on the chain mail pieces because I found them the most interesting.  It's a material that comes off very tough and industrial, but he manages to use them in very ladylike ways.  I love that mix.
 Pencil skirt?  Yes, please!

Sheath?  Hello!

A detail shot of a dress - gorgeous!

And now some of the jewelry:

A Thank You!

I was lucky enough to win some calling cards from the super talented Caroline over at Push The Envelope!  Check out the goodies!

Let me tell you that I'm in love with these cards, they are beautiful!

(sorry for the crappy iPad picture, didn't realize there was a shadow until I uploaded the photo - duh)

Caroline always does such beautiful work and she's such a joy to work with (this isn't the first time I've gotten some goodies from her).  I highly recommend Push The Envelope if you find yourself in need of fun paper products!

New Look and a Thank You!

If you haven't popped over to the ol' blog lately then take a minute to do so.  The blog has a brand new look and I'm thrilled!
A few weeks ago I won a giveaway over at Makeunder My Life for a credit towards design services from Lisa at Elembee Creative.  I knew immediately that I would love to have a new blog header and some social media buttons.  I gave Lisa some information about what I was looking for, and she came back with the awesome new header and buttons.  Needless to say I think she did a fantastic job!  She was so nice and worked so quickly.  So if you are looking for any graphic and/or web design services then keep Lisa in mind.  She's awesome!

I've also added a new page listing the books I've read along with what I thought of them.  So if  you are looking for some books to read check it out.  Also don't forget that I feature a new-to-me recipe of the week over at my Facebook page so check that out too.  Have a great Thursday!

My Five - Emilio Pucci Fall 2012

A collection full of sexy, chic dresses and separates (it was really nice to see the pant/coat combos).  It felt both fun, grown up and a bit dangerous with all the peek-a-boo cuts.  With this collection, Mr. Dundas has officially made the leap to "ageless" dressing.  Meaning, I can see many of the clothes appealing to a range of ages.  Yay!  Pucci continues to be a house to keep your eye on.  Here are my picks:

Check out the gorgeous shoes!  Swoon!

Happy Monday!

First of all I must apologize for being M.I.A. this past week, I had to finish up a big project and then travel to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the facility that I work out of, which was so much fun!  So I've been busy.  BTW, I hate that word "busy", I try not to use it but there you go, I used it.  Ugh.

Anyway, it's Masters week here in Augusta and the traffic is insane, I have to basically re-route my life to avoid Augusta National.  I live close enough to the course for it to impact even my grocery shopping.  The activity over there the past month has been crazy.  The whole year there revolves around either preparing for and/or cleaning up after The Masters.  Oh and I'm curious how they are going to handle the azalea situation.  See all the azaleas have bloomed down here because it's been so warm, and the blooms are going away.  I'm sure they have some sort of potion or something that delayed the blooming (I heard they put ice around the plants).  Lord only knows what goes on behind those fences.

On to other more fashionable things.  One of my best friends bought a lovely blue blazer from J.Crew and wanted some styling options.  Here are the suggestions I sent her (I want to run out and buy that blazer now!)  Have a great Monday!

My Five - Donna Karan Fall 2012

A very menswear inspired collection with lots of pinstripes.  Of course Donna mixed razor sharp tailoring with lovely draping and folding, it's what she does best.  I really loved the mixture of the fabric textures along with the pops of red and that golden/green/yellow that can be bold as well as a neutral at the same time.  Here are my (6) picks:

 Loving the shoes too!
