A very menswear inspired collection with lots of pinstripes. Of course Donna mixed razor sharp tailoring with lovely draping and folding, it's what she does best. I really loved the mixture of the fabric textures along with the pops of red and that golden/green/yellow that can be bold as well as a neutral at the same time. Here are my (6) picks:
This collection reminded me of old-school Prada. Maybe it was the color palette or the embellished touches, can't put my finger on it, but it just did. I say this not in a bad way at all. There were lots of rich, darker colors and lovely patterns. Certainly take note of the navy and green color pairing (seen on Tory herself in the last picture). Here are my picks:
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend - we had a great one since my college basketball team won Friday afternoon and again yesterday! We are in the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2005 so I'm thrilled! Go Wolfpack! Anyway, here's a look at what I'm wearing today:
Shirt - JCrew
Shorts - Claude Brown (thrifted $7)
Shoes - Cynthia Vincent for Target

I have a huge project I'm working on this week so I'd better get back to it. Have a great day!
Luxury thy name is Ralph Rucci. Mr. Rucci uses the most luxurious materials and his creations have razor sharp tailoring and precise cuts. He's not flashy, he doesn't do the shameless self-promotion thing (take note Tom Ford), he just consistently produces insanely chic, totally wearable clothing that appeals to any age range and he's one of my all time favorite designers. This collection showcases his amazing work, here are my picks.
Ever since I first laid eyes on this necklace from Givenchy's Spring 2012 collection, I've been obsessed. It's comically large, yet totally cool. Unfortunately it's $960 (eek). What do you think? Would you wear it?
I have resisted all of the monthly beauty sample boxes thus far (you know along the lines of My Glam, Birchbox and the like), but when I got an invitation for BeautyBar.com and Allure's Sample Society I just couldn't turn it down. Well, my first box arrived and I must say I'm quite impressed with the generous samples, check 'em out:
A very streamlined collection from Mr. Krakoff. It's all about black, grey, winter whites, beiges and orange (it's sticking around). I loved all the mixture of textures from furry to flowy transparent. I'm also taking note of the mixture of neutrals, love that! Here are my picks, but first let's start with a couple of outstanding accessories.
Coming off of last Spring's hot rod themed collection this one was a bit of a let down. But hey, every collection can't be as awesome as that one, right? I mean who doesn't want a pair of those flame shoes? This collection isn't bad by any means, but it was a bit repetitive (with the large gems bedazzling the clothes and the mixing of super graphic prints). Prada is a designer whose clothes you either love or hate. I'm firmly in the "love" category, but I realize that sometimes the parts are more appealing than the whole. This is certainly the case with this collection.
Before I share my picks, I would like to introduce what certainly may be one of "the shoes" of Fall 2012. I predict you will see this in a Fall Vogue editorial:
I hope you had a great weekend! I've been so sick since Thursday, it just knocked me out. I'm on the mend now thankfully. Let's start this week off on a fabulous note with my picks from Sarah Burton's collection for Alexander McQueen. It's a really beautiful collection that brings to mind fluffy flowers, light and air. Sarah Burton continues to blow me away with every single collection. God Bless her for continuing McQueen's legacy. Here are my favorites:
