Happy Weekend and Outfit Posts!

It's that time of week again.

It's what everyone looks forward too all week long.

My outfit posts!

Ha!  You guys totally thought I was going to say "it's Friday" or "the weekend's here" or some nonsense like that, didn't you?  Just kidding.  We all know the weekend is more important than my outfit posts, sort of.  I crack me up.  I'm in a fabulous mood because my two finals are taken, it's going to be in the 60's here this weekend, and I have a sort of "Spring break" tomorrow - no class!  Yipee!  On to the outfits and the debut of the new 'do!
Picture is a little dark so you can't tell but the cargos are green and the top is black.
Cardigan - Barneys CO OP
Top - Target
Cargos - Old Navy
Shoes - Toms
Necklace - Charlotte Russe

Now with my hair 4 inches shorter and back to it's dyed natural red.  Let me just say that my curl has gone.  I swear this is as straight as my hair has ever been that I can remember.  I used to have tons of curl and now I don't even know what to do, it's like I'm in another dimension.  But I'm kind of digging it, I just have to figure out what products work now.

Cardigan - Vince
Top - Target
Leggings - Forever 21
Necklace - House of Harlow
Wellies - Hunter
(this is totally the "uniform" I addressed in this Uniform Dressing post)

Likey the Hunter Wellies?  Well I totally scored them with a Shopbop gift card I won from Connie over at   her beautiful blog Sogni et Sorrisi!  I was so happy I won!  If you don't already read her blog, then head over and check it out, you will not be disappointed.  It's jam packed with inspiration and goodies.  And as a bonus, Connie is one of the nicest bloggers out there my friends!

Oh and I totally signed up to do Kendi's 30 for 30 challenge - eek!  Fingers crossed I totally don't end up wearing the same outfit for 30 days straight because of a potential "deer in headlights" situation.  :o)

Allegedly...

I might have ventured out recently and I might have purchased both of these items.  Said purchases might have cost a grand total of $30.  I cannot confirm or deny this.  That is all.

Gap at ShopStyle

(a crappy image of embellished cardi from LOFT - it's not online anymore and the only image I could find was teeny- tiny)

My Five - Oscar de la Renta Spring 2011

Okay, okay, here I go again with way more than five, but I couldn't help it.  I adore Mr. de la Renta and admire him so.  Here are my many picks from this collection.  Enjoy!

My Christmas Vacation

It occurred to me that I never let you guys know where we ended up on our Christmas vacation.  Well, on December 26th we packed up the car and headed down to Orlando, Florida for a little Disney action.   Well, let me preface this by saying the REAL reason we ended up in Orlando was for the Champs Sports Bowl, because if NC State goes to a bowl game, my hubby will be there.  We both went to NCSU but somehow I haven't been to a football game in years.  I actually enjoy going to a football game.  I like the game and I love our mascots (I've been obsessed with Ms. Wuf for pretty much my whole life).  But I digress.  We arrived in Orlando and man, it was COLD.  I mean freezing.  We had fun in spite of the record setting cold temperatures, you just can't be unhappy at Disney.  We hit the Animal Kingdom and hung out at Downtown Disney the rest of the time, she's just 2 1/2 and got worn out way too quickly.  When she gets older we'll hit up the other parks and she'll be into it that much more!  Here are some pictures.

Uniform Dressing 5:3

This is the last hurrah for the good ol' black blazer (week 1 and week 2 posts).  I did break down and use jeans again for the first look - I was so inspired by the new Gap images!  I hope that you found some inspiration about how to incorporate a black blazer into your wardrobe.  I know it's made me think of different ways to wear one.  Check back next week for a new uniform for February.  Enjoy!
