My Five - Gucci Resort 2011

A really wearable, stylish collection, featuring a neutral palette with some lovely animal prints (mainly leopard and zebra in bold yet subtle colorways). Much inspiration to draw from ( meaning you will see a "my take", I know you are excited), accessories to die for, etc. Anyhoo, here are the five looks that made my day:

My Take: Chris Benz Resort 2011

Well, if you read my "my Five" post about Chris Benz's Resort collecion, then you already know I was completely smitten with it.  It was a sophisticated mix of color and texture so I absolutely had to pull a look for a "my take": 

Loving the turquoise top with the matching statement necklace paired with a fairly low key, versatile pair of neutral shorts.  A great look to draw inspiration from.  I picked several necklace options so they can be layered or worn alone along with different shirt and shorts options.  Away we go:

My Five - Celine Resort 2011

Another stellar minimalist/utilitarian-chic collection from Phoebe Philo.  Take note of the wider legged pants, good grief you can't even see the shoes - LOL!  My five picks are:

My Take: Oscar de la Renta Resort 2011

Remember how completely gorgeous Oscar's Resort collection was (see my five favorite looks here)?  Well I had to save one look for a "my take".

Yeah, good stuff and really easily translated into something we all can wear (and afford) - and remember you can mix and match in any way so you are comfortable.  For example, if shorts aren't an option, go for some white pants instead.  Though I would go with the bracelet or the necklace, not both (might be overkill - you just want a touch of color - take a cue from Oscar).

Now let's take it one step further and mix and match some of the pieces above with the romper  and yellow espadrilles from the "my take" DVF Resort look for a good "on vacation/relaxed weekend" look.

My Five - Behnaz Sarafpour Resort 2011

A few weeks ago, I was thinking "What ever happened to Behnaz Sarafpour?".  What triggered this thought is that I was at our "for sale" house and was going through some of my clothes in my closet and ran across a shirt I had from her Target collaboration (a lovely white t-shirt with a black lace overlay).  She's kind of been flying under the radar for a few years now.  Anyway, she's back on the radar (well my radar anyway - LOL!) and showed a lovely resort collection.  My five favorite looks are below (all dresses again!):

My Take: January Jones gingham greatness

When I saw this picture of January Jones on the lovely Katie's The NEO-traditionalist blog, I knew right away I wanted to tackle it for a "my take".  Note it features black gingham, a pattern we've seen before via a my take on Chanel Resort - I'm going to go ahead and use the same shirt (also used in a "my take" DVF Resort look - this is one versatile shirt.

My Five - Stella McCartney Resort 2011

I either love a Stella collection or I hate it, this collection was love (obviously, why else would I do a "my five" - LOL!). It was very nicely done, the details and prints are outstanding and cobalt blue makes an appearance. Anyway, here are my five favorite looks:
