Amazing Hotel Alert - The Betsy!

Originally opened in 1942 as "The Betsy Ross Hotel" in South Beach on Ocean Drive.  It's Georgian architecture stood out amongst all the Art Deco buildings around it.  The hotel has now undergone an extensive renovation and is a 61 room luxury boutique hotel known simply as "The Betsy" (see it's very interesting history here).  The redesign was done by designers Diamante Pedersoli and Carmelina Santoro who kept it traditional yet modern.  I'm particurally fond of the palette of whites accented with lavender, ochre, coral, and green mixed with the raffia and linen textures.  Very beachy!

The Master Suite

The Royal Suite

The Grand Suite

And just to make it even more appealing, here is a list (from the website) of their standard in-room amenities:
Stately custom built poster beds
Bespoke cabinetry
Dark black walnut hardwood floors
Fine Frette linens
State of the art audio / video connectivity
High-speed wireless Internet
iHome docking station and radio
Precision lighting controls
Malin+Goetz luxury apothecary bath amenities
Mini bar and Bath bar
Pillow menu
Bath mirrors w/built-in LCD TV and Bose sound
Thasos and Carrera marble bathrooms
Spacious walk-in showers
Kallista de Stile shower wands and rain forest shower-heads

Oh, and orchids in every room (I'm assuming they won't be dead like all my orchids seem to be - until my Mom comes, takes them home and rehabilitates them - but that should be another post).

Can I just move in?  Please.  Ah well, I tried.  See some addtional photos here.  Very nice, indeed!
